We are hiring: Executive Manager: Implementation & Innovation
JET Education Services seeks to appoint an Executive Manager for its Implementation and Innovation Division.
The Executive Manager manages the implementation of medium and large-scale projects in education. The position reports to the COO and had six direct subordinates which comprise of senior programme managers and specialist managers. Total divisional staff is between 15-20, including project staff.
The main tasks include:
- Leading medium and large-scale implementation projects
- Contributing to innovation across the organisation with a specific focus on innovation in the implementation of educational programmes
- Organisation development, including implementing the strategy, and implementing decisions made at the Board level
- Business development
- Line management of staff
- Financial management
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Post-graduate qualification, preferably a masters degree or equivalent
- At least 10 years’ experience including
- Senior management in development sector
- Large scale project management
- Oversight and management of division
- High level stakeholder liaison
- Implementation of programmes and projects
- Financial management
- Computer literacy
- Management skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skill
- Must have a South African ID or a valid work permit

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Required to travel
- Represent the company at relevant meetings
- May be required to work extra hours as per operational requirements.
TASKS OR KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- 1. Leading medium and large-scale implementation projects
- Oversees conceptualisation, delivery and completion of projects within agreed timeframes and at a high quality
- Accountable for the design and delivery of education and/or development projects as required
- Provides technical assistance and advice to clients and projects
- Ensure good relations with all project stakeholders are established and maintained

- Leads innovation in the implementation of educational programmes

- Implement JET’s strategic and business plans

- Prepares quarterly board reports
- Ensure positive marketing of the organisation to internal and external clients.

- Marketing JET (networking and maintaining influence up to the national level)
- Develops and assists with proposal writing (reactive and proactive work) as required
- Ensures that the division has sufficient project work to meet the set recoveries for the year
- Line management of staff
- Management of the human resources elements of the staff in the unit
- Ensures that each staff member within the division has a reasonable workload
- Monitors staff’s performance regularly
- Puts remedial steps and development plans in place where appropriate
- Records the above within JET’s performance management system
- Manages the development of staff
- Financial and risk management
- Manages the implementation of the business model thus ensuring that staff bill for their time according to the budget and deliverables and making sure that the Divisions meet their financial targets.
- Plans, reports and accounts for financial health projects within the Unit
- Ensures compliance to Financial policies and procedures
- Perform risk management to minimise project risks and reputational harm of the organisation.
Total annual cost to company between to R908 700 – R1 233 410 (inclusive of all taxes) depending on experience level.
